The other day was my first time to visit the St. John the Baptist Church in Calamba, Laguna. This is where National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal was baptized. It’s located a few meters away from the Rizal Shrine.

She reminded me of Pirena, the Fairy of Fire in Encantadia, a tele-novela. In reality, she is one of the numerous performers at the annual Pailah Festival in Pila, Laguna.
You could see the Church of Pila in the background. It’s dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua.
