Established 1620. The Colegio de San Juan de Letran is inside the walls of Intramuros. One of the oldest universities in the Philippines.

Main Door Art Work
This is one of the main doors of The Manila Cathedral. I can’t help but admire the carvings and the details of this entrance door.
The Manila Cathedral Bell Tower
Ignore the time on the clock since it’s not working. I actually took this picture around 1:00 PM. I also hate it when they put a big banner on the façade of churches. It ruins the aesthetic value of the building.
Nevertheless, The Manila Cathedral Bell Tower still looks magnificent.
Syokoy Bas-Relief
When I saw this bas-relief in front of The Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, I don’t know what it is. For me, it resembles the head of a Syokoy (Merman). I also don't know if this bas-relief serves a function other than aesthetics. It’s a great piece of art nonetheless.
Statue of Legazpi and Urdaneta
XXIV Junio, MDLXXI (June 24, 1571) is the founding day of the Spanish City of Manila. This statue of Legazpi and Urdaneta (located along Roxas Boulevard, near Rizal Park, Manila) is erected to commemorate this historic event.
Jose Marti Y Perez (1853-1895)
Jose Marti Y Perez (1853-1895) is the National Hero of Cuba. He’s a writer, poet, journalist, pedagogue, orator, politician and revolutionary. He actually have a monument along Roxas Boulevard (near Rizal Park), Manila, Philippines. I just stumbled upon it on my way to Intramuros.
I thought Che Guevarra is the National Hero of Cuba.

New Cory Aquino Monument
This is the new monument of the late Cory Aquino located at Roxas Boulevard near Rizal Park. There is also a new monument dedicated to Ninoy Aquino on the same area.
Guards of Rizal
I don’t know what the formal name of the guards that stands at Rizal’s Monument 24/7. I had the chance to see the changing of guards when I visited Rizal Park last August 3, 2012 before the Hagupit ng Habagat (Onslaught of Habagat).
Palacio del Gobernador
Palacio del Gobernador is located inside the walls of Intramuros in Manila, along General Luna Street. It presently house the Intramuros Administration.
Chinese Garden, Rizal Park
The Chinese Garden in Rizal Park is definitely worth visiting. You’ll only pay P5 entrance fee and you’ll enjoy a very serene, Chinese-inspired, garden.

Guardia Civil

I was at Subic Bay Freeport Zone from August 4 to 5, 2012. It was a short vacation and it was raining the whole time I was there. Nevertheless, I still manage to take pictures of the place and San Roque Chapel is one of the most picturesque building in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

McDonald’s McCafé
I’m blogging from my brother’s house in Palatiw, Pasig City. My parents house in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City (where I live) is flooded up to the knee inside the house. It’s a bungalow house so we have to evacuate to my brother’s house.
We’re all safe now and we’re hoping that the flood waters will recede very soon. Life goes on.
BTW, aside from Starbucks, I’m also a fan of McDonald’s McCafé. This picture was taken at McDonald’s Olongapo branch last August 4, 2012.

Ulo Ng Apo
According to legends, the City of Olongapo derived its name from the Sambal phrase “Olo nin apo!” which has the Tagalog equivalent of “ulo ng apo” (head of the elder).
This statue of the “Ulo Ng Apo” is located on the rotunda near the Victory Liner terminal.

The Hellships Memorial
The Hellships Memorial honors the thousands of World War II Allied prisoners of war transported under horrific conditions by their Japanese captors on "Hellships" and scattered all across Asia to work as slave laborers in factories, shipyards, and mines to support the Japanese war effort.
This memorial can be found in Subic Bay Freeport on the shoreline near Building 229.
