This magnificent view was taken at Interlink Beach Resort, Nasugbu, Batangas. You can ride a boat from the Wawa Port to cross the river to this place. You’ll also find the Payong-Payong Point nearby.

St. Roch known locally as San Roque, is a very popular saint in the Philippines. We always identify him as the saint, with the dog. A TV show called “Aso ni San Roque” (The Dog of St. Roch) features the saint’s dog.
I found out just today that he is the saint against the plague (in Europe). I always thought that the wound that he often shows in his statues are wounds from dog bites (with rabies). These wounds are actually acquired from the Bubonic plague.
His dog, according to Wikipedia, belonging to a nobleman named Gothard Palastrelli. It supplied him with bread and licked his wounds, healing it.
This statue of St. Roch is located at Angono, Rizal.

I was at St. Clement Parish Church in Angono, Rizal earlier this morning in time for the celebration of Three Kings or Epiphany. I also noticed the Belen at the altar and I can say that’s it’s very fabulous and the concept (of duyan or hanging manger) is unique.

Pinagbuhatan is the largest barangay of Pasig City. Here’s Pinagbuhatan Barangay Hall. Notice the small “e” and the dominant colors yellow and blue? It’s the symbol of the incumbent mayor of Pasig City – Bobby Eusebio.
